Terms & Conditions
By registering for any of our courses, you automatically agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
I. Registration and Refund Policy: For all of our training classes, you are entitled to a partial refund in the event you cancel your enrollment at least 48 hours before the course starts. Refunds can take up to 90 days. Please note that it is the individual customer or organization contact’s responsibility to check to see which certification program they need to take.
II. Classroom/Web Based Courses (Blended Learning): Blended learning classes are web-based courses in which customers choose to do 50% of the course work online and 50% in a skills practice on the appropriate equipment under the supervision of a certified, trained AHA/ARC/HSI instructor. ALL online course work is to be completed before the start of the skills session. The participant is expected to bring the proper identification and online completion certificate to enter the class and receive the appropriate certifications. “To The Rescue CPR” is ONLY responsible for providing customers with the appropriate direct link access (online learning management system access), classroom equipment, trained instructors, and a highly informative skill session. “To The Rescue CPR” does NOT own or have any administrative access to your online learning management-portal from any of the training programs. This online learning management-portal is managed and created by the program you registered for such as American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, and American Heart Association. Therefore, “To The Rescue CPR” is NOT responsible for any troubleshooting, difficulty with access, completion, or loss of progress with this online learning management system. “To The Rescue CPR” is ONLY responsible for the in-person class training sessions. All difficulties, questions, or concerns with the online learning management system need to be communicated with the appropriate agency’s customer support number and appropriate email address. Please send all documentation and your case ID number to us, so we can assist with your in-person training session. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify “To The Rescue CPR” of any technical issues that are faced in conjunction with contacting the appropriate agencies and retrieving the appropriate documentation. It is important to note that “To The Rescue CPR” is ONLY responsible for the teaching points that the American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, and American Heart Association provide instructors from the nationally approved Instructor’s manual. Moreover, the participant/guardian agreeing to the Terms and Conditions needs to be aware that the American Red Cross and American Heart Association decide which key skills and lecture content is presented.
III. Illness/Personal Emergencies: “To The Rescue CPR” understands that sudden illnesses and emergencies happen and are out of your control. American Heart Association and American Red Cross training courses have attendance requirements to meet state and local protocols. If you cannot attend a course due to an unexpected illness or family emergency, you will be placed into the next available class at no additional fee (provided you bring the appropriate documentation from a verified source supporting your absence). “To The Rescue CPR” reserves the right to determine whether or not the documentation is sufficient for no additional charges. If there is no documentation sent or if “To The Rescue CPR” feels that your documentation does not meet course policies, then you will have to repay for the whole course. Please read about the additional fees for Blended Learning Courses regarding having to cancel your skills session or online session due to personal emergencies or sudden illnesses.
IV. Certification Status: Once the instructor has acknowledged that you have passed the course, certifications will be processed and delivered electronically by email directly from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. It is the responsibility of the customer to check their individual email inboxes including their spam folders for receipt of their certifications. Any customer requests for certifications that have been expired for more than 30 days will be referred to reach out to the training agency for copies of their certifications as we will not be able to provide a copy. Each class has testing requirements needed to earn certification status. “To The Rescue CPR” has a responsibility to report all activity to American Red Cross and American Heart Association. It is at the discretion of the trained instructor based on the course requirements to determine whether an individual has met these standards. Failure to meet these testing requirements will result in having to repay for another class. Again, there are NO REFUNDS. Certifications are processed after the following steps have taken place within 1-20 business days depending on the certification program you registered for, and the following has been submitted to the appropriate coordinators: (1) Your instructor has informed the above customer that they have successfully met all course objectives. (2) Payments and registration forms are completed. (3) The instructor trainer has submitted the paperwork, and the paperwork has been approved by the appropriate coordinator. Failure to make payments and return the above paperwork will result in a delay in the above customer’s certification being processed. If payment/paperwork is not made within 12 months, then “To The Rescue CPR” will not process the above customer’s certification and will direct them to retake their course.
V. Equipment Returns: All equipment purchases are final upon sale. There are no refunds.
VI. Medical Emergencies: “To The Rescue CPR” has staff members trained to respond to emergencies but is not responsible for medical information not disclosed. As the student, legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless “To The Rescue CPR”, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of “To The Rescue CPR”, its owners, and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
VII. Lost or Stolen Items: “To The Rescue CPR” is not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen when attending our courses. Please lock up any valuables or leave valuable items at home.
VIII. Billing Questions/Concerns: “To The Rescue CPR” follows all consumer laws and is straightforward with all charges. It is your responsibility to stay on top of all payments and invoices. Invoices are electronically sent to the email address. If a customer would like a hard copy of their invoices, they will need to request. When a customer is sent an invoice, there will be a designated due date for when a customer needs to make a payment. All payments need to be paid by the due date. Anything after the due date is considered late and will result in one late penalty fee of $35.00, and then a 10% finance charge will be added to your invoice for every 14 days that payment is not made. For any invoice that is 90 days overdue, we will suspend your account, and your invoice will be transferred to debt collections.
IX. Cancellations: Customers can cancel their registration by removing themselves from a scheduled course but need to inform our organization by phone call or email. If you do NOT inform us by phone call or email, then you will NOT receive a refund even if it is within the timeframe listed above to earn a partial refund. $7 will be deducted from the refunded course fee to cover any potential service charges. Canceling a course does NOT mean that you will get a refund. You MUST request a refund to our billing department. Our billing agents will determine whether a customer qualifies for a refund. Our customer support agents and administration team will work with you to get you into the next available course. “To The Rescue CPR” reserves the right to cancel any class for any reason without providing any refund to the above customer. Note that courses are usually canceled due to inclement weather, building closures/maintenance, or low enrollment (where the minimum number of course participants fail to meet course administration guidelines). If this ever occurs, you will be transferred into the next available skill session/class for no additional fees within a 60-day period. After 60 days have passed from the original day of purchase, the above customer will need to repay in full for the class that they choose. If a customer chooses to cancel their class (course plan) on their own, they will still have to pay the appropriate cancellation fee for the specific course registered. If “To The Rescue CPR” cannot provide the canceled course within a 60-day period, then “To The Rescue CPR” will refund 100% of the money to you with no cancellation fees charged within a 90-day period.
X. No Shows: If a customer does not show up for their registered class without warning, the customer will not be eligible for a refund, as we have to make last minute arrangements to pay a staff member to meet minimum participant ratios per each curriculum’s course administration guidelines.
XI. Class Transfers: “To The Rescue CPR” will transfer you into any class for no additional fees if you request so by phone or email more than 24 hours in advance for all CPR/AED training courses. After payment is made for a class transfer, customers need to either call or re-schedule their class by calling or emailing us. A customer is enrolled once they receive a confirmation notice.
XII. Transportation: “To The Rescue CPR” is NOT responsible for participant transportation to and from the course locations. It is the responsibility of the participant to arrange transportation in a timely manner.
XIII. Punctuality: Instructors will not allow customers in after 20 minutes from the start time of the class, regardless of the circumstances behind the late arrival. Each course has a time-sensitive syllabus that must be adhered to. Punctuality is a must to avoid disturbing other course participants and the instructors in session. “To The Rescue CPR” will reschedule you for the next available class if you know you are going to be late and contact an office representative before the class start time.
XIV. Media/Image/Video Consent: The customer agrees to allow “To The Rescue CPR” and our staff to use his or her images or videos in any form or format, for use at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, trade or promotional material. Additionally, the customer waives any right to royalties and any other compensation arising or related to the use of media captured during the class. A customer/parent/guardian can change their mind at any moment by informing us in writing.
XV. Communication: Customers are responsible for reading all emails. “To The Rescue CPR” is not responsible for any emails misplaced in spam boxes. However, we will be more than happy to resend or clarify any information needed.
XVI. Advertisement on Third Party Websites: “To The Rescue CPR” is NOT responsible for the way that our classes are advertised on third party websites (e.g., ARC/AHA class connector or social media profiles). Each organization has the right to display our company information according to its terms and conditions. All company information can be found on our website and through our course registration emails. Any concerns with how a third-party company displays our courses need to be communicated with the specific company where there is a concern.
XVII. Course Completion Letters: Course Completion Letters are ONLY available to customers who successfully complete our American Heart Association (AHA) training classes. It is the course participant’s responsibility to complete their courses in the designated time frame established by their employer, accrediting licensure program, or academic institution. “To The Rescue CPR’s” responsibility is to issue certifications within the designated program guidelines and are not responsible for issuing certifications earlier than required. Course completion letters are another way to document course completion. However, it is up to the employer, health department inspector, or program coordinator to accept the letter as verification for successful completion of the AHA course the individual registered for. There are NO REFUNDS for any letters that are not accepted by the customer’s employer, department of health inspector, or program coordinator. Letters will be issued within 5 business days after successful completion of the course. No letter will be issued if payment is not received or any outstanding balance owed.
The above Terms & Conditions are a service agreement between “To The Rescue CPR” and the individual customer who has registered for any of our courses. You must be at least 18 years or older to enter into this agreement. All Terms & Conditions in this service agreement are in accordance with the law. Our Terms & Conditions are fluid conditions/protocols that are updated many times throughout the year to meet all American Red Cross, HSI, and American Heart Association training protocols and consumer laws. This means that the Terms & Conditions can change at any time with or without the consent of the individual customer. These Terms & Conditions will be shared with appropriate parties of the law with or without a subpoena, and without consent of the individual listed on this contract, as “To The Rescue CPR” adheres to all consumer laws and will cooperate with the law as requested. Failure to adhere to the Terms & Conditions is a breach of the service agreement and can result in prosecution. The individual will be responsible for all payments due for the services offered, which include materials, supplies, instructor fees, and anything owed from falsified chargeback claims, in addition to any legal fees associated in the above service agreement.
